How to use NOODP tag for Google

Google generate the descriptions or snippets that listed in the search results is from the page content as well as references to that page from other directories like ODP (Open Directory Project). If you believe that the description of your website provided in the ODP is not accurate or you don't want to display that description in Google's search result pages, Use the following tags in the head section of your website:

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOODP">
<META NAME="GOOGLEBOT" CONTENT="NOODP">

All search engines may not support the above tag, following is for MSN who implemented this tag first:

<META NAME="MSNBOT" CONTENT="NOODP">

If you want to omit both description and title from ODP, use the following:

<meta="robots" content="noodp, noarchive">

The above tags will change to your snippets once the spiders crawled and refresh their index.
